Machinery stolen from farm in Berwickshire

Thousand of pounds worth of machinery has been stolen from a farm in Berwickshire.

A jet wash and two welding machines were taken along with some diesel.

A shed at the Buskin Farm in Coldingham was broken into between 11:45pm on Saturday 15 March and 6:45am on Sunday 16 March.

The thieves also targeted a neighbouring farm but were unsuccessful.

“Rural properties are often seen as an attractive target to acquisitive criminals and we would continue to ask our communities to be vigilant for any unusual activity they witness in or around farmland.”

– Chief Inspector Kenny Simpson, Police Scotland
