The parents of Matthew Jordan, the student whose body was found found in a Cumbrian lake, are expected to thank hundreds of volunteers who spent time looking for him.
Clare and Robert Jordan are due to take part in a press conference later this afternoon.
Tributes have been paid to the 20-year-old from Middlesbrough, after his body was found in Lake Windermere yesterday, 15 April.
His friends and family were joined by local people who carried out daily searches.
The family of Matthew Jordan have issued a statement thanking people for their “support and kind words and actions”.
Cumbria Police confirmed a body recovered from Windermere is that of missing Matthew Jordan, 20, from Teesside, who disappeared in March.
A Facebook group set up by people in Windermere to help find the missing Middlesbrough man Matthew Jordan now has around 4,000 members.
