The annual Dragon Boat Festival has been taking place in Dumfries today.
Over 15 teams took to the water over a gruelling 300 metre course on the River Nith. Each 40 foot long boat contained 16 paddlers and a drummer. Many of the teams were raising money for charitable causes.
