A bid for two new train stations at East Linton and Reston has been forwarded to the Scottish Government.

Scottish Borders and East Lothian councils and South East Scotland's transport partnership, SEStran, have submitted the proposal together.

Scottish Borders Council have increased the proposed level of funding towards the scheme to £1.2million and it is believed that this plan could benefit the economy, tourism and reduce road congestion.
