The chief executive of a major bag manufacturer in Carlisle has said more businesses need to be less 'London centric'.
Daniel Chamier was speaking at the opening of the new Chapman's factory.
"We're opening our new factory, essentially which combines our old site and our new site. The new site is principally a manufacturing site and it's enabled us to double our capacity approximately. I think there are too many businesses now which are very London centric, if I can put it like that, and we need to have more businesses which can flourish in cities like Carlisle, and we're one of them."
