The Dumfries control room at the Police Headquarters has closed this morning.
All emergency and non-emergency calls will now be taken from a control room in Glasgow. Police Scotland say it is part of their re-structuring process, but the decision has been met with public outcry. Around eleven thousand people signed a petition condemning the closure.
