The owners of a Lakeland hotel gutted by fire are searching for the anonymous person who helped ensure it wasn't burned to the ground.

A farm worker used his quad bike to get firefighters hoses to a nearby beck.

The man has so far not been traced but the owners of the Queen's Head hotel at Troutbeck are keen to find him to pass on their thanks.
