Geoff Abbott is a former butcher's boy from South Cumbria, but for 20 years of his life he has served as a Beefeater at the Tower of London.
The 91-year-old is a renowned expert on executions and has just published his autobiography, From Butcher's Boy to Beefeater.
He became a Beefeater at the Tower of London in 1974. He said living there was like "nothing else in the world. To know that one is living in a historic raw palace and fortress - what an address. The trouble is, no one ever believed you."
