Hundreds of motorsport fans are arriving in Dumfries ahead of the Scottish Rally this weekend.
The event is the first round of the championship to be held after three spectators will killed at the Jim Clark in the Borders at the end of May.
Safety is a top priority on this year's event and a new spectator stage has been introduced, which will allow fans to watch the action from a safe distance:

An elderly woman in the Scottish Borders has been defrauded of over £40,000 after receiving a call which claimed to be from her bank.
