Final preparations are underway in Dumfries for the Love Life and Liberty Pageant, this weekend.
The play depicting the last years of life of poet Robert Burns which he spent in the town.
It's the showpiece at the heart of a two day festival celebrating his life and that of the Peter Pan author James Barrie who was educated in the town.
