Three food and drink businesses from the Borders have been shortlisted for the Scotland Food & Drink Excellence Awards.

With a record breaking 239 entries this year across 19 different categories, the finalists from the Borders represent a broad spectrum:

  • Peelham Charcuterie (Berwickshire) in the Meat category
  • Born in the Borders (Jedburgh) in the Scottish Sourcing category
  • John P Campbell OBE of Glenrath Farms (Peebleshire) in the Scottish Food & Drink Entrepreneur category

Broadcaster Kaye Adams, from ITV's Loose Woman, will announce the winners of the awards at a ceremony at the Edinburgh’s National Museum of Scotland on 27 May. Tickets for the event have already sold out.

“The Excellence Awards recognise the incredible quality that Scotland’s food and drink industry has to offer, the outstanding achievements of individuals and businesses as well as the high standard of our products and the level of innovation we're seeing across the sector."
