A Cumbrian grandmother who fought off a would-be robber with a mop has been given a bravery award.
Seventy-year-old Rhoda Sharkey was at work in her son's corner shop in Egremont when a man demanded money.
He fled empty-handed and was later jailed.
As well as the award, she was also presented with a new mop.
