Four-year-old girl in hospital after A69 crash

A four-year-old girl is in a serious condition in hospital after the car she was travelling in was involved in a crash on the A69.

The two-vehicle collision happened between Brampton and Corby Hill at 8.45am.

A 43-year-old woman from Carlisle, who was driving the Vauxhall Astra, was also taken to the Cumberland Infirmary with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.

A 46-year-old male driver of a Land Rover, also involved in the crash, did not suffer any injuries.
