Police name Dumfries motorcyclist killed in road crash

Police Scotland have named a man who was killed in a road crash that happened on the A711 near Tower Wood, on Saturday 29 April.

47-year-old Michael Andrew Cloy, from Kirkton in Dumfries, was riding a Triumph Tiger Explorer motorcycle when it collided with a silver Ssangyong Turismo car around 3:55pm.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say they have informed Scotland's public prosecution service and that investigations are still ongoing.
