Bookbug's Big Giggle is set to take over libraries across Dumfries and Galloway from the 15th to the 21st of May.
An initiative by the Dumfries and Galloway council, it is aimed at "inspiring children and adults to feel good by sharing songs and rhymes."
There will be 20 events taking place including Big Giggle story times and Big Giggle Bookbug sessions for parents and children to attend.
Bookbug Week is a part of the Scottish Book Trust's Early years Bookbug programme, supporting parents and carers to share books, talk and cuddle with children from birth. Bookbug sessions are held at libraries all year round.
