Cyclist seriously injured after being hit by car in Kendal

A cyclist is suffering serious injuries after being involved in an accident with a car in Kendal.

The incident happened on Thursday 18 May at around 8.15pm, on the junction of Crook Road (B5284) with the Lyth valley road.

The cyclist was taken to the Royal Lancaster Hospital, after crashing with a silver Mercedes estate car, driven by a man with female passenger.

Police are appealing for more information and want to speak to anyone who witnesses the accident, and to the driver of the Mercedes.
