A man has been remanded in custody, and a woman is due to appear in court, after around £15,000 of drugs were seized in Hawick.

During a police raid, ecstacy, cocaine and cannabis were found, along with drug paraphernalia and a four-figure sum of cash, at three addresses in Chay Blyth Place, McLagan Drive and Bridgehouse.

A large amount of clothing and footwear, believed to be counterfeit, was also removed and sent for further examination.

A 53-year-old man and 30-year-old woman were arrested and charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

The man appeared at Selkirk Sheriff Court on Monday 5 June and was remanded in custody, while the woman will appear at a later date.
