Roadside traffic surveys are set to take place on Thursday 13 July around Carlisle.
The surveys will happen at three sites and will aim to assess drivers' journey patterns to show how, why and where people travel across Carlisle. The results will be used to highlight any improvements needed on the highway network.
Drivers will be stopped and asked to volunteer to answer questions about their journeys. Interviews are expected to take between two and three minutes and traffic controls will be provided by Cumbria Police at all site locations.
The council say they will try to keep delays to a minimum after the last set of traffic surveys on Eden Bridge in Carlisle.
