A new housing estate called Strawberry Fields was among the first areas to be affected.
The fire service were on the scene to pump water, to prevent damage to homes.
The River Kent flooded back in 2015, causing severe damage to the area.
It was dredged in 2016 by the Environment Agency, when thousands of tonnes of gravel were removed from the river bed, to prevent any further flooding.
