As snow causes disruption to travel across the region, motorists are warned that driving conditions could become much worse as the Met Office has now issued a yellow warning for ice.

Between 3pm today and 12pm on Saturday, ice stretches are expected to form on untreated roads and pavements.

Further showers could also give another 1 to 3cm of snow in places over Scotland, mainly on higher ground.
