In Dumfries and Galloway, the average weekly wage is lower than anywhere else in Scotland.

That can make it difficult for people to pay private rent.

But with thousands of people on the social housing waiting list, many don't have a choice.

A community group's taking matters into its own hands to try and provide more affordable housing.
