80 Years On: Still Flying High

Archive footage and images go on display at Leeds Central Library Photo: Yorkshire Film Archive

Previously unseen memorabilia, uniforms, video footage and stills from passengers, ex-staff and the local community, will form part of an exhibition celebrating the airport's history. Leeds-Bradford Airport started out in 1931 as Yeadon Aerodrome. The display, at Leeds Central Library, is officially launched today. More details at The Yorkshire Film Archive
