70 jobs will be created when a colliery spoil heap is restored to public open space.
Planning permission has been granted to restore the ground around the site of the former Rossington Colliery near Doncaster.
Over 13 million tonnes of spoil will be cleared away and 950,000 tonnes of coal are expected to be recovered.

I am delighted that our plan for Rossington has gained planning approval and we look forward to delivering this important scheme which will significantly enhance the local environment. The use of Rossington as a base for training new employees will bring further opportunities to the local economy, in addition to the 70 jobs created by the restoration project.”
