The Forgotten Trespassers

Right to roam celebrated Photo:

Campaigner Terry Howard has been speaking to Calendar’s Jon Mitchell about the largely forgotten Sheffield ramblers who trespassed long before the mass trespass of 1932 and long after. Sheffield ramblers were fighting for the right to roam as early as the late 19th century.

Terry Howard still fights today for greater access to our countryside.

The eightieth anniversary to the Kinder Scout trespass is more than just reflection on a past victory “Where do we go from here? “
