Chart-topper Tinchy Stryder will be the headline act at this year’s Party in the Park in Hudersfield on June 10th. The pop grime artist has a string of top ten hits under his belt. Other names joining Tinchy will be Vince Kidd and Marlon Roudette.
Vince is currently star of The Voice and a strong contender for the winning title. Marlon is an up and coming singer-songwriter who’s already had number one hits across Europe. Supporting these named acts will be a line-up of local performers, still to be announced.
Party in the Park will kick off at 1pm and takes place on the final day of Concerts in the Park, a three day music festival in Greenhead Park from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 June.
Meamwhile the date and ticket process for this year’s Party in the Park concert at Temple Newsam in Leeds have also been announced today.
The UK’s biggest annual free outdoor pop event organised by Leeds City Council and Radio Aire will take place on Sunday 22 July with a host of chart-topping acts performing at Temple Newsam Park.
The ballot system for tickets introduced last year will again be in operation with those wishing to attend able to register their interest here from 8am on Monday 21 May.
The registration period will run for four weeks before closing at 10pm on Sunday 17 June, with applicants able to apply for a maximum of four tickets per household.
Announcements of the star names to be performing at Temple Newsam Park will be made in the coming weeks.
The Huddersfield concerts begin on the evening of Friday, June 8th with a special performance of Thank you for the Music, a live concert show featuring the music of ABBA and the Bee Gees. Performed by professional touring company Easy Theatres.
On Saturday evening the stage will be set for a jubilee proms concert, featuring the Orchestra of Opera North and guest solo artists. All Concerts in the Park events are free and un-ticketed.
