The number of people out work in the Calendar region has gone down.
The latest figures show unemployment fell by 24,000 in the three months to March in Yorkshire. This is the biggest drop in the UK. In the East Midlands, which covers Lincolnshire and north Derbyshire, the figure fell by 6,000.
Across the country unemployment went down 45,000, leaving 2.6 million out of work.
Meanwhile, the Office for National Statistics said the number of people claiming jobseeker's allowance fell last month by 13,700 to 1.59 million. That is the biggest fall since July 2010.
