Train tracks brawl
Eight men are being sought by police after it is believed they were involved in a brawl, which caused trains to be cancelled, in Huddersfield.
It happened on Saturday 19 May, which was the afternoon of the Championship Play-Off final. It is thought fans of Huddersfield Town, Bradford City and Leeds United were involved in the disorder.
The arguments started on Westgate an Market Street in Huddersfield, before continuing in the railway station and it even on the tracks.
Several men chased each other down the tracks towards Deighton and sixty one trains had be delayed and seven services cancelled altogether.
– Acting Detective Sergeant Nick Doyle, Huddersfield CIDThese mindless individuals caused ordinary members of the public to fear for their safety. Several scared shop owners locked themselves inside and one young man had to lock himself in the car whilst his grandma shopped nearby.
Behaviour of this kind will not be tolerated and we will bring those involved before the courts. I urge anyone who has any information to the identity of the men pictured to contact us.
