The Bradford West MP, George Galloway has described the City as a national emergency and has revealed plans for a "people's march" from Bradford, across the Pennines and down to London.

The Respect MP was speaking at his party's conference, in the wake of huge job losses announced this week at Thomas Cook in the city centre. Mr Galloway says he intends to rally support for a two hundred mile walk in October, which will link up with a TUC protest in the Capital.
