Unemployment in the Yorkshire and the Humber region has increased by 23,000 - the highest rise in the country.
The lastest figures, released by the Office for National Statistics, reveal 272,000 people were out of work in the quarter to July. However, 10,000 more people were employed during the same period.
In the East Midlands region, which includes Lincolnshire, unemployment rose by 5,000.
Nationally, the figure fell by 7,000.
