Doncaster murder probe

A murder investigation is under way after a man was found dead at a house in Doncaster.

Mark Stannard's body was discovered in the property on Burton Avenue in Balby at 3:30pm on Wednesday.

A post-mortem revealed he had died form serious internal injuries.

Three people, two men and a woman, all from Doncaster have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently being questioned by detectives.

Mark’s dad, sister and niece have paid tribute to him, saying:

We are devastated to hear of Mark’s death. He was a loving son, brother and uncle. This is a very difficult time for us all, coming to terms with what has happened. We’d now like to be left alone to grieve in peace.
