A man who had to be tasered by West Yorkshire Police has died in hospital from serious stab wounds.
The man, who hasn't been named, was found by officers wielding a knife in Farsley near Pudsey this morning.
They had been called out at 4am to reports that a woman had been stabbed and was lying in the street.
Police found the man with the weapon in a house and used the taser to arrest him because of the potential threat to officers.
He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary suffering from blood loss, but died at 5:30am.
The incident has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
The woman's injuries are not life threatening.
