"No decisions have been made" on proposals to introduce regional pay in the public sector, the Health Secretary said today.

Jeremy Hunt told Calendar News that discussions were "underway", but added he did not want to "pre-empt" their outcome.

Last week, the Shadow Health Secretary warned against paying public sector workers different salaries depending on where they live.

Andy Burnham told Calendar News that regional pay was "part of the glue" that holds the NHS together.
