The Attorney General is expected to make an application to the High Court today to quash the original Hillsborough inquest verdicts.
The hearing will be heard by the Lord Chief Justice Judge and two other judges in London.
The families of the 96 victims of the 1989 disaster have been campaigning for the verdicts to be overturned.
The application by Dominic Grieve comes after a report exposed a major cover-up which attempted to shift the blame of the Hillsborough disaster on its victims.
On 15th April 1989, ninety-six Liverpool fans lost their lives in a crush at Sheffield Wednesday's Hillsborough stadium.
