Humberside Police says a police sergeant who disappeared, prompting concerns about his welfare, has turned up safe and well. Neale Coy, 50, who lives in the Goole area of East Yorkshire, failed to turn up for his shift on Friday night and had not been seen by friends or family. Colleagues said the disappearance of the officer, who has more than 27 years service, was "totally out of character".

Humberside Police issued a public appeal through the media on Saturday afternoon, but shortly after 7pm, the force revealed that Sgt Coy had been found safe and well in the Scunthorpe area.
