A man has denied murdering a retired businessman who died three weeks after he was attacked in a park in Sheffield.
Grandfather Anthony Power, 78, was seriously injured in an attack in High Hazels Park, in the Darnall area of Sheffield, in October last year. He never recovered and died in hospital.
Imran Khan, 30, of Handsworth Road, Darnall, appeared before a judge at Sheffield Crown Court today where he pleaded not guilty to murdering Mr Power. He was remanded in custody and told he will go on trial on March 11.
Mr Power, who lived in Bradway, near Sheffield, founded and ran the international lingerie firm, Panache. He set up Panache Lingerie in 1982 after working in the underwear business and realising there was a gap in the fuller bust market.
Mr Power started the firm in his garage. The business now has offices in New York, Germany and Hong Kong.
