Does your child like crazy challenges - and more importantly, do they want to cover people in gunge?!

A new production - headed by ITV Daybreak's Anna Williamson, alongside Nickelodeon's Jamie Rickers - is looking for children from Halifax to take part.

Auditions for Jamie and Anna Live!: Boys v Girls, take place at 10am at the Victoria Theatre in the town today.

The production company is looking for children aged between 9 and eleven for the "ultimate boys versus girls competition", which will be staged live at the theatre.

A spokesman said: "If you think you have what it takes to be triumphant then Jamie Rickers and Anna Williamson, stars of the hit Nickelodeon show Camp Orange and CiTV’s Toonattik need you! They are searching for boys and girls to star in their brand new stage show - so come along and take part in the auditions.

Anna said: “I'm so excited, with my best pal Jamie, to finally be let loose bringing all our anarchic boys vs girls banter to you. It's going to be messy, it's going to be competitive, but most of all it's going to be fun! This is your chance to join Jamie and I doing what we do best...trying to win and prove our teams are the best...obviously the girls are!

"We'd love kids to come and join us in what is the first time ever we've brought our fun and games outside of the television - we need you! We promise you. It'll be the most fun you'll have this year so COME ON THE GIRLS!”

The show will take place on Sunday April 14.
