The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) has announced that Dave Jones is set to become the new Chief Constable of North Yorkshire police.
Mr Jones is currently Assistant Chief Constable of the Rural Region for the Police Service of Northern Ireland. He was the choice of both PCC Julia Mulligan and the members of her recruitment panel, which met on Tuesday this week.
