It's Thursday! So what are the weekend weather prospects?
Unfortunately, low pressure is dominant on my weather charts, that means rising air which generates clouds and bands of rain. There is a potential for some quite heavy rain on Saturday, especially over Yorkshire. Sunday looks like being the better of the two days but I cannot guarantee that it will stay dry.
As if all that wash't bad enough, winds will blow in from a northeasterly direction keeping temperatures around or below average.
Is there any better news for the following (Bank Holiday) weekend?
That's a long way off in weather terms but early indications are it will be mostly dry and bright but with winds from a northerly quarter we won't be breaking any temperature records.
