Occasional showers are possible over Pennine areas into the overnight period but it should become largely dry with clear spells. A patchy frost is likely as well as fog and ice. Temperatures hovering around freezing. 0 °C.

Sunday:

It will be a largely cold but dry morning with sunny spells at first. Cloud will increase through the morning from the west, with rain later. Strengthening southerly winds again, perhaps with gales on hill tops. Rain will be lighter further east, heaviest over hills in the west. Continuing to feel cold. Highs 6 °C

Outlook:

Very windy Monday and Tuesday with bright spells and heavy, blustery showers, most frequent over the Pennines.A little drier on Wednesday with just the odd shower in the west, winds easing slightly.
