A mother from Bradford has been sentenced to five years and four months for trying to take her two children to Syria.
The woman who can not be named to protect the identity of her children was stopped by the authorities in Turkey after her husband alerted police here.
She had left home saying she was taking the children to a birthday party.
Judge Rodney Jameson QC told her that she knew the dangers of the IS regime, which included rape and murder.
She was arrested in Turkey after her husband discovered documents at their home which suggested she was on her way to Syria.
By the time police arrived at Manchester airport she was already airborne with her children.
When she was arrested, the woman told officials she wanted her children to be brought up under Sharia Law.
