A man from Leeds is raising awareness of the early signs of bile duct cancer after his wife of just five months died from the condition.
Lucy Crossley developed a mysterious itch before being told she had the rare cancer. Two thousand people are diagnosed each year, with only five percent of those surviving longer than 12 months.
Lucy noticed the first symptoms, 19 months before she died, as an itch on her legs. She went ahead with her wedding to Liam, a personal trainer, but lost her battle for life five months after their wedding.
Now Liam wants to highlight Lucy's story so that others can look out for the early signs. He says a simple liver function test along with blood tests could have found her condition a lot sooner - and hopes Lucy's legacy will mean others won't suffer the same heartbreak.
