Rescue dog captures the hearts of thousands as snoring video goes viral

A rescue dog in north Lincolnshire has captured the hearts of thousands after a video of him snoring went viral online.

Harvey is looking for his forever home

Seven-year-old Staffie Harvey recently arrived at the Jerry Green Dog Rescue centre in Broughton. Staff soon realised he was unhappy in his kennel, so brought him into the office where he was caught on camera having a snooze.

Thousands of people have now viewed the video online.

Harvey is a beautiful boy – he loves having company and we soon realised that the kennel environment didn’t suit him. I posted the video of him in my office in a bid to find him a forever home once he’s been fully assessed, and our supporters quickly got involved by sharing the post and commenting with words of encouragement.

Within hours Paige and the Jerry Green Dog Rescue team were receiving messages from people as far away as Australia and the US enquiring after Harvey.

The social media star is currently undergoing a period of assessment with the centre team and should be available for rehoming soon, but Paige and the team are already on the lookout for a perfect home for him.

We’re looking for someone who will act as a constant companion for Harvey. Ideally someone working from home or who will be able to bring him with them for work, so he’s not alone all day.

He has made friends with several of our other rescue dogs, and potential new owners who already have a dog at home or older children will be able to make use of our Meet & Match scheme to ensure that he’ll fit into the family dynamic.

With so much interest in him already we’re hopeful he’ll be settling into his forever home soon.
