Hull City's Ryan Mason: 'I feel lucky to be alive'

Hull City midfielder Ryan Mason has tweeted to say thanks for the overwhelming support to him and his family since he fractured his skull in a match against Chelsea.

Mason clashed heads with Chelsea defender Gary Cahill 13 minutes into the Premier League match.

He was carried off on a stretcher wearing an oxygen mask after receiving eight minutes of treatment and taken to St Mary's Hospital in London.

The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder was released yesterday and is now recovering at home with his family.

Today he took to Twitter to say thank everyone for their 'overwhelming support.'
