Horton in Ribblesdale Primary, which can trace its origins back to the eighteenth century, has just 13 pupils.

North Yorkshire County Council has taken the decision to close it, saying there is no prospect of the numbers increasing enough to keep it open.

The school will shut at the end of the academic year.
