People in Yorkshire and northern Lincolnshire being diagnosed with the most dangerous type of skin cancer - malignant melanoma - has increased by almost 20 per cent in 9 years, new figures show.
The biggest rise was among men and now the parents of a young doctor who died of skin cancer have spoken about losing their son and how they plan to continue his campaign.
Mark Sims was just 28. He raised a £100,000 for Cancer Research before he died, and since his death that has exceeded £180,000.
Now his family is releasing a book of his blog, where he spoke candidly about his illness. Kylie Pentelow went to meet his parents.
