Yorkshire religious leader calls for increased security at mosques after Finsbury Park attack
A Yorkshire religious leader and member of the Government's Anti-Muslim Hatred working group has said security must be increased around mosques.
Reacting to the Finsbury mosque attack Imam Qari Asim of the Leeds Makkah Mosque has condemned both fascists of the Far Right and Isis extremists.
He says Muslims are increasingly concerned about growing levels of Islamaphobia and extremism and hatred must be overcome.
A 48-year-old man has been arrested after a van ploughed into worshippers outside the north London mosque, injuring 10 people.
