Fine and warm with sunshine but will it last?

The working week has got off to a fine start with a dry and sunny day. Highs today (Monday) will be around 25ºC (77ºF) Enjoy the sunshine but be aware it is still high in the sky and very strong. The U.V. index is 8 today which equates to a very high risk of sunburn.

After a fine and clear night Monday night, Tuesday will be another fine day with Sunny spells. There will be some thin, high cloud spoiling the sunshine at times but the sun-burn risk is still high. There will be a subtle change in wind direction Tuesday; it will be coming from the east so it will feel refreshingly cooler at the coast. Pollen counts will be high Monday and Tuesday.

The second half of the week is much more unsettled; Thundery rain will spread slowly northwards on Wednesday with some locally torrential downpours. It will still be humid though.

There is a weather warning here. Thursday and Friday will be fresher with stronger winds and some rain, especially Pennine districts.
