Rare marsh harriers illegally targeted on North Yorkshire grouse moor

The RSPB and North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information about the interference of a rare marsh harrier nest by two gunmen on a grouse moor near Ikley.

The armed men were recorded visiting the nest on Denton Moor on a number of occasions and are believed to have attempted to shoot at least one of the parent birds before removing all five eggs.

The RSPB is offering a reward of £1000 for information and has released the following video in a bid to identify the two men.
