A 16-year-old girl has been charged with attempted murder after a school welfare officer was stabbed in Scunthorpe.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has also been charged with carrying a blade or sharply pointed article on school premises. She will appear at Grimsby Magistrates Court tomorrow.
It follows the attack on 61-year-old Joy Simon at Winterton Community Academy in North Lincolnshire. She is being treated in hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
