Four arrested after five people stabbed in Sheffield

Four people have been arrested, two on suspicion of attempted murder, after five people were stabbed in Sheffield.

Officers were called to two separate fights in the city centre in the early hours of Saturday September 30. Five people were confirmed injured. One is in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Detective are linking the incidents, which they believe involved the same people. The first happened at around 4am and one person was arrested. The second fight took place on Cambridge Street at 5.35am in which three people were stabbed and a man was hit over the head with a bottle

Four people are in custody in connection with the incidents.

A number of streets remain closed off until further notice. These include Cambridge Street, Carver Street/Division Street, Barker's Pool and there is no access to Bethell Walk.
